practicing the three principles from creation’s garden:
healthy eating, physical activity and rest.””

Cooking Well stands as a beacon for breaking down barriers and bringing wellness to individuals through impactful and inspiring interactions and exposures. The Cooking Well has been developed in the heart of Central Alabama to populations facing critical health disparities and where many under-resourced urban and rural communities are located. Cooking Well includes a spectrum of approaches designed to create informed and vibrant communities through educational content that reveals the complexity of nutrition science in a simple and relatable way, exposure to fresh produce and gardening practices, and focus on healthy cooking techniques in the vast “garden” of fresh and nutrient-dense food choices. The healthy lifestyle encouragement Cooking Well provides has been expanded throughout the Southeast and far beyond having developed proprietary nutrition curriculum which includes a six-week basic course, two advanced courses, multiple workshops and social media content. Whether the table is literal or virtual, Cooking Well participants share commensality and a common bond around principles of healthy living with open minds to new ideas, new foods and new friendships.
